Have you homeschooled?

If you have homeschooled for all or some of your education, you know that you have a unique opportunity –and a unique task– to convey your experiences to admissions committees.  College admissions officers need to see how your unique educational journey has shaped you as the kind of person who will contribute to their community.

Donna Kirschner earned her doctorate studying the lives of homeschoolers.  Through her anthropological research, she met hundreds of homeschoolers and learned  how they live and learn in their homes and in their wider communities.  She understands the different kinds of homeschooling styles, philosophies and ways of living.

Dr. Kirschner has lectured and attended homeschooling conferences.  She has worked and workshopped with homeschooled teens and their parents on how to translate the unique experiences of homeschooling into a language that educators understand.

Dr. Kirschner loves to work with homeschooled young people.  Let her help you craft an essay that will help you and your unique journey shine through your application.
